We predominantly produce fruit for export, such as Apples, Pears, Nectarines, Lemons and Mandarins (sold in Africa, Far East, Middle East & Europe). Our farm stretches over 1899 hectares on top of the Piket-Bo-Berg mountain.
It is on this mountain where our passion for our community and the education of our children lies.

Peter Starke bought the farm in 1951 with his wife May.
Peter and May’s son, Eric, joined the family business in 1982, and his wife, Michele, took Buchu to the next level.
Eric and Michele’s eldest daughter, Emma, moved to the farm in 2018 with her husband Steve. In 2021, their middle daughter, Rebecca, followed suit with her partner Ties. Nicola, their youngest, is still travelling the world.
