IFEAT CONFERENCE VANCOUVER OCTOBER 2022

What a beautiful city to host our conference in!  

Held at the Westin Bayshore Hotel, which is located along the Coal Harbour on the edge of Stanley Park, it was a delight to go out walking in perfect summer weather or to sit outside sharing a drink with customers and IFEAT friends whom we had not seen since 2019 in Bali. The ‘Moscow Mule’ is now a firm favourite!

We were fortunate to have superb lunches and dinners in a few of the stunning restaurants close to our hotel, and of course there was time for some shopping…

Back to the conference – we were welcomed by the First Nation and learnt the value of a ‘talking stick’, something we should introduce to management meetings. 

The venue provided plenty of meeting areas where we were able to have frank discussions with our customers and some potential new collaborations. The impact of the Russian/Ukraine war on businesses all over the world was a common thread through all the meetings. It became quite apparent that many essential oils are under pressure and buyers are cautious, with not much appetite in the market. There was a feeling that many companies have carry over stock.

We meet again in Berlin in October 2023.
